Abstract:
The Wisdom Method 305 hour Yoga Teacher Training & Apprenticeship Program is a Vinyasa-based training
program focusing on the importance of self-study, dedicated & applied practice, mindfulness based movement
modalities, and developing kinesthetic intelligence. Implicit in the training is instruction in the major
philosophical & physical Hatha Yoga systems, with the most emphasis given to the Krishnamacharya lineage
(Ashtanga Vinyasa-Viniyoga-Iyengar-Classical Yoga & Ayurveda). Breathing practices, anatomy, meditation
techniques, and teaching methodology are included in the program while Ayurvedic nutrition & wellness
training and an applied practicum & apprenticeship make this program unique.
Taught in 2 locations (Leesburg & Tallahassee) the program includes 20-hour weekend intensives, plus a 20-hour apprenticeship/internship with program-approved instructor (Leesburg: Kellie Adkins, Tallahassee: Robyn Ceballos), and Thursday night focused study (Leesburg only). Internship hours will be scheduled once the training begins.
This program will give you a solid foundation on which to base your own unique style of yoga instruction while
instilling the lifetime habits of self-study & dedicated practice. You will learn how to teach yoga & how to apply the principles of yoga, not just how to do the poses. We offer a certification track and an immersion track. The immersion track is geared towards those wishing to expand their knowledge of yoga & take their practice deeper. The certification track is for those wishing to do the same, yet also become a yoga teacher.
Experienced, registered yoga teacher Kellie Adkins of the Wisdom Method School of Yoga is the director and primary instructor of the program. For more information, please contact Kellie at (352) 874-3272 or visit www.kellieadkins.com
